Yes, pay per click advertising (PPC) really does work. Each search engine has their own version of PPC, but Google Adwords is by far the most dominate. It has the most users and the most clicks, however it is also the most expensive. Yahoo and Bing have joined forces and combined their PPC efforts into one called the Yahoo Bing Network. Since Google Adwords is the most used, we’ll talk about this first.

In most search results, the FIRST 3-4 ads at the top of the Google page are Google Adwords which is paid advertising. Businesses sign up an account with Google Adwords, pick the keywords they want to rank for and then bid against other business for the placement of the ads. The business ONLY pays when a customer actually clicks on the ad. The cost of the bid depends highly on the popularity of the keyword. The higher demand for the keyword, the higher the cost will be. Some keywords are literally pennies, however those keywords will hardly ever be seen and likely not get any clicks. What good is a keyword if it’s not being clicked on? Other keywords are over $100.00 per click, but these are highly searched key terms in highly competitive markets such as attorneys or plastic surgeons. Most key terms are going to be in the $20-30 PPC range, which is a relatively inexpensive customer acquisition cost.

PPC is an easy way to get your ads in front of your customers immediately. You can literally pay to be at the top of Google. There are statistics that show some internet users do not click on the top 3-4 listings because they know they are ads, however there are many people who simply don’t know…or don’t care. If you pay attention to your clicking habits you will probably find yourself clicking on one of these listings also. If your site isn’t ranking on the first page of Google, PPC is a quick answer to the problem. The great thing about pay per click advertising is you can make changes any time, so the campaign is completely flexible. Many clients who have their site on the first page of Google still choose to use PPC because it bumps one of their competitors out of the listing and gets their site seen more then once on the first page of Google which increases the click odds!

PAY PER CLICK PPC ADVERTISING SERVICES IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ
